My Story, My Why

My Work is Deeply Personal
For more than 16 years, I’ve worked alongside families and clinicians navigating complex health conditions - building a clinical and research network, creating tools, and helping people find clarity in systems that often feel anything but clear.

That work has also been personal. Through my own family’s experiences - losing my second child, Conor, to Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD), and supporting my other children through a second rare disease and mental health challenges - I’ve lived firsthand the realities of what it takes to advocate, coordinate, and persevere in fragmented systems of care with few effective treatments and no cures.

Those experiences reshaped everything I believed about health, systems, and what it means to heal. They also strengthened my conviction that we must be informed about what we can do to impact our own health - and confident enough to advocate for ourselves (and others!) along the way.

From Loss to Purpose
In the years following Conor’s passing, I left my corporate career in supply chain technology to focus on advancing rare disease research and care. My background in mapping processes and designing resilient systems became the foundation for helping launch and build the PCD Foundation Clinical and Research Centers Network (PCDF-CRCN) and data ecosystem.

Through that work, I saw a pattern: whether in logistics or clinical research, systems succeed or fail based on how well their parts communicate. When one connection breaks down, the entire network feels it. That same insight applies to the human body and to our experiences within the healthcare system and public health.

Connecting Systems, Science + Human Experience
As both a parent and a patient advocate, I’ve spent years navigating complex systems of care - learning how to bridge gaps, connect information, and translate science into action. Those lessons, combined with my background as a collegiate and professional athlete, inspired me to professionalize much of what I had learned over the years through Wellcoaches, the National Institute of Whole Health (NIWH), the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and most recently diving deep into promising, evidence-based metabolic approaches for mental health (Metabolic Mind and Metabolic Collective are hubs for the latest studies, coursework, and thought leadership).

Competing at the highest levels (Go Duke!) taught me what it takes to optimize performance, how training, recovery, mindset, and nutrition all interact to shape results. Health is no different. When we understand how our internal systems work and what we can influence, we become active participants in our care rather than passive recipients of it.

That belief - that we are more connected and capable than we realize - became the foundation of WellSelf 360.

What I Do Today
I’m a Certified Professional Health & Wellness Coach, Whole Health Educator, and specialist in integrative nutrition and emerging metabolic approaches to physical and mental health.

Through WellSelf 360, I help individuals, providers, and organizations view whole health through a metabolic lens - connecting biological systems (core metabolic drivers), lifestyle levers, and therapeutic supports in a framework that empowers understanding and action.

→As a mother, caregiver, and coach, I bring compassion, resilience, and perspective.
→As a former collegiate and professional athlete, I bring grit and teamwork to every endeavor.
→As an advocate and executive leader, I’ve built clinical and research networks and data infrastructure that accelerate discovery.
→And as a systems strategist, I bring the rigor and complex nature of supply chain thinking to design solutions to improve care, access, and outcomes.

Whether working with individuals, providers, or larger organizations, I aim to create clarity from complexity, empowerment from overwhelm, and practical solutions where none seem possible.
